  As a Witness I served on a jury. I felt as long as it was not a death penalty case I would have no problem. The rest of the congregation knew and no one said a thing.

  When j.w.'s testify in court, who's Bible do they swear on?

  let's say, in a child custody case, or something of that nature.. do they ask for the nwt?.

  if they use the standard bible, because it's not the one they believe in, does that give them reason to lie in court?

  Panda:

  That trial was one of the most dificult things I have ever experienced.

  A sister I was in love with was murdered by her ex-husband. The DA did everything he could to make the murderer blow his top during my testimony.

  The jury was hung and he got off scot free. That very day he told a sister to give me a message, if he ever saw me he would kill me.

  I celebrate the 4th of July, say the Pledge, vote in every election and have run for elected office.

  On Decoration Day (Memorial Day to Yankees) I place US flags on US veterans graves and Confederate flags on graves of Confederate veterans of the War Between the States.

  28 Years Later...Do I ask Jehovah where he is? Or do I still wait on him???

  since i was told to wait on jehovah, the brother who raped my ex-wife had just turned 83. what happens if he dies before jehovah gets here?

  the elders told me that jehovah would take care of things soon.

  so my question is, what's your definition of soon?

  Jehovah is in the privy with Baal.

  I am sorry you have had to go through this horrible tragedy and miscarriage of justice.

  When I was a Witness I testified in a murder trial. I did not have to put my hand on any Bible. I did not "swear" but instead "affirmed" i was telling the truth.

  When I was a Witness a sister was denied unemployment benefits because she quit her manufacturing job when the plant switched to making parts for weapons.

  I took her case to the local ACLU and I provided the ACLU with a copy of a US Supreme Court decision granting a Witness unemployment benefits in an identical case.

  The sister got her money and I remember her husband saying, "the ACLU has been so nice and helpfull it is a shame WE COULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HELP THEM SINCE THEY ARE PART OF SATAN'S SYSTEM OF THINGS. WE CAN'T EVEN DONATE MONEY TO THEM"

  Is it time to demollish the welfare state in the UK

  it's an unfortunate fact that the uk is gradually slip sliding away in the ranks of great achieving countries.. our tennis players aspire to greatness but slip at the last, and often first hurdle.

  our national health service though catering to all, is no where near the quality it should be.

  i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

  The producers of wealth go on strike and let the social workers try to keep society going. Chaos ensues and the world degenerates into barbarism.

  Demolish all welfare states.

  so...i'm in a relationship,where my man lies alot about his gambling problem.of course.... .

  the thing is he tells me all men lie and basically saying...like him.

  (also i will never find a man that won't lie).
